A few new pairs of earrings ( all added to my website to purchase)

A few days ago I put on a picture of my bead board with a project I was working on. I finished it over the weekend and here it is.  It is so hard to get a good photo, but the colors look great together.  There is also a pair of matching earrings.

Hope everyone had a great 4th.  Here in Iowa it was rainy and cold.  Sure didn't seem like the 4th this year with the weather and the fact it was on a Saturday.  We were able to enjoy the fireworks, so it ended good.

What I am working on

Yesterday I was outside with the kids while they were playing ball.  I took out my bead board to do some stringing.  The beads just glimmered in the sun and were so pretty, so I thought I would take a picture.  Hopefully I will have a finished piece to show off soon.

New necklaces

I love this color combination and it was so fun picking out beads to match with the focal.  I used soft flex trios (I have mentioned them before) in shades of sea green, ivory and aqua blue.  The second necklace I used a trio with 3 shades of blue.  In each necklace there are 3 strands, although it looks like more because of the shadows.

Here are some new capped beads that I have been working on.  I started a necklace last night using one of them that I need to finish and show you guys how fun and cool they can be on a necklace.  Today and tomorrow enter the word "capped" in the code box to get $5 off of one of the metal capped beads.

From the weekend

A few pictures from the weekend.  Yesterday we went to a lake and rented a pontoon boat.  Our intention was to rent a couple paddle boats, but it was so super windy we thought this might be better.  The weather was great (except for the wind) and we had a fun time.  Lukin got to drive  in the first picture and was having the time of his life.  We also went to see the movie "UP" on Saturday night.  What a great movie!!!  We saw it in the 3D which made it even better.  Can't wait for it to come out on DVD.  So cute...

Twitter????

I am sure you have heard of twitter, well I just signed up to see what the big deal is all about.  I kind of like it.  I subscribe to cnn, us magazine, a guru doc from cnn, our local weather, etsy, just to name a few.  I never really thought about it before, but was getting notifications that people were following me (I had never even posted anything yet)  Anyway, yesterday I did my first tweet ( I know, congrats to me huh?)  I might try to list on twitter when I am doing a special or sale on my blog, so if you want to follow me, click on the link to the left (hope it's working)

The other day I started making some smaller focals and just couldn't stop.  I love these little focals to make necklaces with or pendants (will show a pendant later)  Anyway, thought I would see if you would like me to make some more.  I will sell these if you are interested.  They are each $13.  Just email or comment and let me know what you would like.  I can hold on to them, or ship right away.  Let me know if you would like to see more, they are fun to make.  Have a great weekend!

Free Set Today...

Ever since I made a few yellow sets, I have been seeing YELLOW everywhere.  It is quickly becoming my favorite color.  I see it in magazines, in stores, etsy ~ so much yellow.  Here is a little surprise for you.  Today and today only, place an order for $60 or more and I will send this set for FREE to you with your order.  Only thing you have to do it make something and PROMISE to send me a picture.  I need some inspiration on how to design with these colors!
